Welcome to the 19th episode of the QC STEP Podcast. On this episode, I will start things off by sharing the current job leads. Then, I continue with our preparation for the 2013 QC Career Fair for People with Disabilities. On Episode #17, we went over what to wear to a job fair. On Episode #18, I gave you ideas on how to start a conversation with an employer at a job fair.

Today, I’ll talk with you on the topic of selling yourself at a job fair. Once you’ve started a conversation with an employer, how do you convince an employer to consider you for a position? I tell you what things to sell and give you examples of what to say to sell those things.

There are two more podcast episodes before this career fair and next week, I will talk about how to end a conversation with an employer at a job fair.

If you have any questions for me about this or any career/job fair, send them to me via our Facebook or Twitter, the contact form below, or you can email them to me – and I will read through them on the next episode.

If you would like more information on any of the job leads I shared on this episode, you can fill out this contact form and Gary Maiden or Cari Stewart will contact you.
